Dance Party at the Turners'

Matt loves to turn the music on and let the boys practice their dance moves. They are too funny, and I am sure these videos will come in handy when they are in high school :). They can get some ideas for those high school dances! This is a video clip of a few of their moves. Jake is more of a serious dancer, while Ty is just plain hysterical! He sure loves to make us laugh.

Our New Bouncy

My friends and I were at one of our many kids' birthday parties and were talking about how many birthdays we have to rent bounce houses for, and how much we end up spending. Someone came up with the brilliant idea to buy one together and share it for all our parties. Between all the kids that is a lot of parties. Now for the price of one rental we part own one. We broke it out last weekend to see how it would work. I love it! The kids love the slide and it seems pretty easy to set up and take down. Besides kids parties we always have something going on, whether it is just a night for all of us to hang out, or some kind of holiday or celebration. Great source of entertainment for the kids. So glad we did it. It is not as big as the professional ones, but it will hold all the kids.

37 weeks and Ready to Go

37 weeks and 30 pounds later!! Ugghhh, it seems my weight has been so up and down since having kids. I finally start to get in shape and I'm pregnant again.

It is hard to believe I only have a short time until baby arrives. Even with carrying this baby around it doesn't seem real, until she arrives. This has been my hardest pregnancy, or at least the one I have whined and complained about the most. I am sure the boys have the most to do with that. I was sick with their colds and flues a lot (how Matt never gets them I don't know), and of course I had to take care of them, so I was tired most of the time. All the same symptoms, just a little more severe. Matt has been helping out so much! I am very lucky.

I think we are ready. Rooms are done, bags are packed. Now we just get to wait and see how she wants to do this. My deliveries and babies have been so different. Jake, my water broke and then labored for 14 hours to deliver a little 6lb 7oz baby. Ty came in 2 hours, delivering at the hospital 20 minutes after arrival, and he was a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz. They were both 9 days late. We'll just have to wait and see!

Swimming w/ Daddy

Matt has been giving me a break and taking the boys to the pool almost everyday. It has only been a couple weeks, so I decided to go and take my camera. It is amazing how quickly they have grown. Last time they were in their floaties refusing to take them off, and now they are practically swimming on their own! I do get a little anxiety when I watch. It can be hard to watch both of them at the same time. They have a lot of confidence and it makes me nervous. I am so proud of them.

Baby Room!

As you can imagine, I was so excited to decorate a girl's room. Matt was wonderful and painted the room for me and hung the beautiful chandelier my mom got for the baby. Then my mom came over and made the pillows and tablecloth. Then Matt's mom and grandma took boxes of clothes my amazing friends gave me to borrow, and the new ones I have been getting, and washed and organized them all. At my shower I got lots of beautiful things to decorate the room, and my mom came over to put the finishing touches on, including hanging the pictures. I am officially done, and love to just hang out in the room. So do the boys, although I try to keep them out for now. Every once in a while I will walk in and find a toy on the floor... evidence! I guess they are as excited as we are.

I found my Camera!

Finally I can start posting more!!!

things that come out of their mouths cont'd

Jake, "I love you all the way to Heaven and back!"

Ty, while in timeout (rare occasion for him), crying, "Dada, make me happy."

Jake's Preschool Class Graduation

Jake had a ceremony at school to celebrate the end of the year. He will have one more year there and Ty will be there for half of that year. Ty already knows the school like the back of his hand, so it should be an easy transition. Jake loved his teacher Mrs. Mohn. The picture of the sweet girl is Ashley. Jake talks about her every day. They are so sweet! My little boy is growing up so quickly

things that come out of their mouths cont'd

ok, so we can't keep them completely free from not so nice words:

Jake, "Mama, I love you, but sometimes you are a loser."

Ty, "shut it up!"

but then there is the sweet stuff:

After peeling off a piece of his lip Jake said, "mama, will Jesus make me a new lip?"

Getting Ready for Baby

The boys are so excited to finally have their bunk beds. We have been telling them they were getting them for months. They were so cute. They could not wait until bedtime. Ty climbed up to Jake and said goodnight and gave him a kiss. We explained to Jake that Ty hasn't slept in a big bed and will probably get up and down. We tucked them in and went downstairs where I sat and listened to the monitor. I hear Jake saying, "ty you need to get back in your bed," Ty replied "ok, jakey" and he got back in and off to sleep they went. I can't believe it was that easy. Jake has night terrors fairly often which concerned us. He had one last night and Ty slept through the whole thing. I couldn't believe it. My goals before baby were to get Ty potty trained and in a bed and I am so proud he is doing well with both. Still has accidents, but he is getting better everyday.

We painted the kids (so use to saying boys') bathroom lime green and the baby room pink (of course I want it all pink after 2 boys). Matt is going to hang the chandelier in the baby room and now a light in the boys room tonight. I will send pictures of all this stuff once I find my darn camera! I also have a cute video of Jake singing at a school program. He is home sick today with an ear infection and tonsillitis. We have had a terrible year for illnesses!
