Kylie's 1st Birthday Party!

Kylie had a great 1st birthday party. All her nanas and papas, most of her aunts and uncles, playgroup, MOPS, and some other special friends all came. It was at a local park and the older kids enjoyed traditional picnic games like potato sack and 3-legged races. We had a special lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, lemonade, chocolate chip cookies, and special pink cupcakes for the kids.

Kylie always make me laugh, and it is not because she is always smiling. Quite the opposite actually, she is very serious and always thinking. People make the craziest faces to make her laugh, but she won't budge. It cracks me up. She does laugh at home in the comfort of her home! I forget how much she notices and analyzes everything around her. She is such an old soul like Jake. She isn't walking yet, but has taken a couple steps. She LOVES to eat, and will eat pretty much anything. No more baby food for this little one. She loves her brothers, but is already fighting over toys. She sure stands her ground! I don't think she will be pushed over and will most likely be the boss someday. She loves her mama best, but daddy is a close second. She is shy at first in front of adults, but loves kids. Her white blond hair and blue eyes are a shock to everyone including me. It is such a special treat to have a blue-eyed baby. I guess you always want what you don't have. I have a feeling this little one is going to give me a run for my money...I already call her our little monster. She likes shoes and purses...so we may just end up with a girly-girl.

Photo Shoot

We celebrated Ted and Diane's anniversary by surprising them with a vow renewal ceremony on the beach followed by dinner at El Callejon. Tracie arranged for a photographer who took some great pics.

4th of July at Ft Irwin

We headed up to Steve's to celebrate the 4th of July. The Turners, Hogencamps, and Hurts all drove up. It was a big group! The boys rode motorcycles (Ty got a burn on his arm from the exhaust), we hung out at the pool, went to the 4th of July fair, watched fireworks, and hung out. We had a great time!!
