Kinder Orientation!

It's official, we are parents of a school age child. I can't believe it! And this is serious stuff! Jake is very lucky to go to a great school, Carrillo Elementary. One of his best friends, Ashley, is in his class. Today they met their teacher and were taught drop off and pick up routines. Jake is very excited, just not sure I am ready!

Kylie vs. the Utensils

I started giving Kylie utensils, not thinking she would actually do something with them. She is actually pretty good with them!

Diego Cupcakes!

We needed to make cupcakes to celebrate Ty's birthday at school. Thanks to the TV station Nick Jr, Ty already knew what kind he wanted. Unfortunately I thought we could throw some frosting on and call it a day. We all ended up having fun, and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Y World of Sports

The boys have been enjoying their first experience with organized sports. They are in a league that tries out all different sports. They started with basketball, followed by t-ball, then soccer, and finally football. They are on different teams, which means different schedules! Jake seems to do best at soccer, while Ty likes t-ball. It has been fun, minus the bumps, bruises, and occassional tears.

First Steps

Kylie took her first unassisted step today. Of course she chose the hard concrete to do it on. She is on her way, and I am on my way to the crunched over walk for who knows how long!

Ty turns 4!

Our sweet Ty turned 4! We went to Disneyland and they gave him a button that said Happy Birthday Tyler. He was so proud of it. Ty is such a sweet, kind-hearted, easy going kid. He loves to act silly! He tries to keep up with his brother and has been forced in a way too grow up quickly, but he still loves little boy stuff when Jake is not around. He is so great with Kylie, telling me when she is in trouble and taking toys that are too small away. Anytime he gets a drink she comes crawling over to steal a sip, which he is always willing to give. He is sensitive and gets his feelings hurt often, but it shows his sweet tender heart. He still snuggles, which I cherish everytime wondering if it is one of the last. He loves superheroes and Star Wars, and playing with friends. God blessed us with such an amazing gift!

Ty's first day of Preschool

I am so excited for Ty to have his own school where he can escape from all of us! He had a great day. He knows the school so well from
dropping Jake off. He has Mrs. Mohn who we adore. He has all boys in his class, but thankfully they do things with the other classes too. I can't believe my baby boy is growing up so fast!

Kylie's first big Owie

So sad. Kylie was climbing down from the couch and snagged my laptop. It fell off the couch and crushed her little pinky. We will wait to see if she loses the nail. Ty kept saying in a very sad voice, "Kylie is not suppose to bleed!". She handled it better than all of us!

Look who's standing!

We are getting closer! The boys and I watched Kylie stand up sit down for what seemed like an hour. She was so proud of herself. We would cheer everytime she did it and she would let out a scream and smile! Shortly after she smashed her pinky! Her first big boo-boo. I don't think it will slow her down. Her finger was bleeding and Ty kept saying in a scared voice. "Kylie is not suppose to bleed, Kylie never bleeds."

Bathtime is getting crowded!

Kylie does not miss a beat with those boys. I don't think she even knows they are bigger than her. She fights over toys and wrestles!

Good Times in the Neighborhood

The boys have been enjoying their lazy summer playing with the kids in the neighborhood. There are now three other boys Jake's age and one little girl Ty's age. It helps that the parents like each other too!

Tyler's 4th Birthday Party

Tyler shared his 4th birthday with four other birthday kids from the playgroup, Sarah, Hayden, Megan, and Mira. They jumped their little hearts out at Pump it Up. Kylie even got to play.

Bandaid Obsession

Tyler is obsessed with bandaids! No more kisses for owies, it must be a bandaid. So sad for mommy.

Crazy girl!

Kylie is all over the place these days! Still not walking, but seems to find her way around. She climbs everything she sees!
