Kylie has Pink Eye!

My poor little angel had one of the worst cases of pink eye I had ever seen.  In the meantime Jake had strep throat.  Keeping the two of them away from each other was not very successful.  Unfortunately Kylie will be getting all kinds of bugs from her brothers who bring it home from school.

Easter with the Turners

Nana Cheri and Papa Pete made a special Easter visit.  Cheri brought the Resurrection Eggs and explained to the kids the meaning of each piece in the eggs.  Then they hid Easter eggs throughout the house for a fun hunt.  It was a nice, calm get together.

Geocaching with the Family

We found a new family hobby.  I was so excited to learn there was app on my iphone.  The kids call it treasure hunting.  We get a location for a box and we have to use the GPS on the phone to find it.  I have tried numerous times to go on my own with the kids, but rarely have luck.  Daddy is the best at locating them.  Perhaps I should leave this one for him!

Kylie Dressing Up

Oh how she loves to put on ANYBODYS shoes and clothes.

Kylie's First Dentist Visit

Tyler

Jake

I couldn't believe when I booked the boys dentist appointment that they wanted to see Kylie too.  She is so young.  She watched Jake and Ty and then coudn't wait for her turn.  She loved every minute of it.  The dentist was very impressed.  Let's hope it stays this way.

The Thayer's Visit

The boys were so excited when the Thayer's came to stay at our house for the night.  There mom had to take a quick trip back to Texas.  We had so much fun hanging out including drop offs and pickup from school.  I was showing up at three different schools with different kids at each pickup.  It was crazy, but tons of fun.  They all slept in sleeping bags, and can't wait to do it again.

Our New Church

North Coast church opened a new satellite church only a few miles from our house. The kids love their classes, especially Jake with the climbing wall!!

Jake's Awards

Jake got two awards at flag salute this week. One was for reading all his site words, Rainbow Words, and one was a standout award for being a risk taker. He sure has grown this year! He was so excited to get two!!

New Park!

They opened up a great new park, Sunset Park, by our house! The things that excite me nowadays?!

Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful, warm day in March so we headed to the beach. We are getting excited for summer!!

Donuts with Papa

My dad takes the boys to donuts on Wed mornings and then to school. The boys love it and I love the break. This morning Papa picked them up in the jeep, which was extra special! When I was little my dad use to take my brother and I to donuts.

Family

Love hanging out with family!!

GG and Kylie while we were out of town!

Uncle Mike, Kylie, and Ty

Hannah and the kids at Uncle Dave's bday!

Idyllwild w/ Playgroup

At superbowl Sunday Mona brought up going away to the snow that coming weekend and somehow all six families made it work. We found a great house to rent and had the best time!! We went sledding both days and I am shocked nobody went to the emergency room!! The kids adventured outside the house while the adults visited. Things got a little rowdy at night after the kids went down, and some old school games like spoons were played. Must do it again!! A treasured memory for all 14 kids and 12 adults!!

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

The kids love to go out in the culdesac most afternoons. In fact it is the first thing they lose when they misbehave. Kylie thinks she is one of the gang and looks up to sweet Sofia!

Ty, Kylie, and Santi!

Sofia!

Lake Arrowhead Alone!!

Matt and I had been getting the itch to go away. We needed a break from all the hustle and bustle of kidos. We were shocked when it all randomly fell together (although we were praying about it, yet it is still shocking when God works it out). Nana Di and Papa Pete split the kids one night at Nana's and one night at Papa's. We slept, ate, and watched the olympics. There was a nice snow storm on Saturday and the view from our room was amazing! Do you like our self portrait from our room?

Jake's 100 Day School Project

Jake had to create a 100 day project that had 10 groups of 10.  We decided to use school supplies.  He placed everything and I glued it after he went to bed.

Jake's Open House

Jake had his kinder Open House. He gave us a tour of his room. It was so fun to be back in the class. I also get to volunteer once a week as the Phonics mom. He is doing great!

Baseball Cookies

We made these cookies for Jake's tball team. I am one of the team moms this year! Hope the kids like them.

Valentine's Day

I was so proud of Jake, he wrote all 30 of his classmates names and his own on his Valentines. He is becoming quite the reader and writer and it is so exciting to watch.

Ty's 4 year checkup

Ty did great...shots without a tear! My baby boy is growing up.

Spontaneous Vacation!

We had a plumbing issue at our house on dec 30, and spent a week at a hotel. The kids loved it. We were at a small hotel the first night, then we moved to the La Costa Resort where the kids got their own room and bed. They went in the pool during the day and had a great time. Jake wanted to live there!!
