Uncles are the Best

I usually end up posting all pics of the kids, and forget to put any in of all our family. We are so lucky to have such great extended families. This is a cute pic of Ty hanging out with Uncle Mike when they offered to watch the kids. Love the sippy cup next to the coffee cup. Gotta love Guitar Hero! Thanks Mike and Kathleen for loving our kids so much!!

Oh Nuts!

Well this is how we found out Ty is allergic to tree nuts.  He was at Nana Di’s and fell in love with cashews.  After eating almost an entire bowl this is what happened to his lips.  We were told to take him to the hospital where they informed us he would have to carry an EpiPen for now on, since it could easily swell his throat or tongue next time and stop his breathing.  My poor baby.  I was devastated.

Campout!

We went on a campout that the City of Carlsbad hosted at a local park. This was our second camping trip since we had kids. Carlsbad supplied the food, games, and even a movie on a big screen with smores and popcorn. The boys had a blast. Kylie and I went home to sleep, but the boys were asleep before I even left!

Ty's 3rd Birthday Bonanza!

Ty shared his birthday with his two friends Sarah and Hayden. We usually have the same playgroup at all the parties, so it was easier than going to three seperate parties. We had a jumpy and a clown. Each kid picked their own theme, and Ty's was Peter Pan. The kids really had a good time. At the end of the party the kids went in the pool, and you can see by the picture how exhausted they were by the end of the day!

Kylie's First Trip to the Beach!

We took Kylie to the beach while Aunt Heather was in town. I kept her all bundled in her seat making sure no sand touched her. I decided to get one picture of her by the sand. So I told Matt to take the picture while I let one food dangle near the sand, appearing to be touching. I was getting frustrated at Matt for not taking the picture fast enough so he said, you take the camera and give her to me. I said ok, not knowing he was unaware of my plan to not get her sandy (dads!!). So he starts laying her in the sand. I was freaking out, but trying to remain calm in front of my in-laws. Nonetheless she is still breathing and all the sand came off.

Proof that boys just don't get girl fashion!

Jake insisted on picking out Kylie's outfit on this particular day. He picks his own clothes and does a pretty good job. But when I saw this I realized he picks any pair of shorts that match pretty much any shirt in his dresser. Girl's clothes are just way more complicated. Sure glad we weren't leaving the house on this day!
