Kylie's First Trip!

Only 10 days old and we headed off for our first trip. The fact is I had been so cooped up at the end of my pregnancy I would have done anything to get out. So we headed to Barstow!! Isn't that where everyone vacations?? Actually, Matt's brother Steve is in the army stationed at Ft Irwin. We went on base to see their Fireworks show. Well actually, I hid in the house with the baby part of the time and Nana Diane took the other part. They also had a little fair where the boys got to play around. We had a great time!

Tea Party

The boys insisted on giving Kylie her first tea party. They were so cute. It started as a normal tea party where Kylie fell asleep within moments. Then it turned into a King Tea party with a dragon slaying and Ty as a Ninja Turtle. I got to be Cinderella.

Ice Cream in our Undies

Ahhh to be a kid again!

Sweet Brothers!

The boys sure love their sister. They have been so good. They aren't all over her, but they do come by every once in awhile to say hi or hold her. They always want to touch her face and kiss her, which can be frustrating. I hate saying "no don't do that" all the time. I want them to enjoy her.

Great Grandma Rogers

We went and visited Grandma Rogers so she could meet Kylie. Grandma sure loves those babies!

Kylie's First Doctor Appt

We went to Kylie's first doctor appt with three concerns. Two of them we have had with the boys...does she have jaundice and is she dropping too much weight. The third was that she has been running a low temperature around 97, and we weren't sure whether we should be concerned. She did look a little yellow so the doctor sent us to the lab, and then we got the great news that she won't need lights (as Ty did)... her levels were very low. He was a little concerned with the weight, but we will go back on Monday for a weight check. He told us not to be concerned about the temp, but to try to keep her warm. She is doing so great! Hardly cries, but she may have not come into her own yet? She loves to look at us, and gets a little disturbed when we move us out of her vision.

Our New Baby Sister

The boys came to the hospital to meet their new baby sister. They were so excited. Jake said she looked like he thought she would. Ty wanted to touch and look a lot. Jake was a little more into me and all the hospital gadgets.

Due Date?

OK, so only 5% of women deliver on their actual due date, and I am praying that would be me. We are at home today, awaiting all the calls of "how are you feeling?" Matt is home, and I am trying to keep him here. My worst fear is to have him gone, go into a quick labor or have my water break with both boys at home. Most of his work is at least 30 minutes away. Ty was born so quick, I am afraid by the time I got to the hospital once again I won't get any drugs. Getting an epidural I think is both Matt and I's main goal this time, which means we have to be early enough!! I have thought about camping out in front of the hospital for the next week (ha). So, for all who are checking...no news yet, although I feel closer everyday. Pretty hard contractions yesterday, but no pattern. Thanks for all who are thinking of us! We will try to make a post when the time comes.

Superheroes

The boys are still into their superhero phase as you can see in this video. You can also see their new bunk beds which they love.

Dance Party at the Turners'

Matt loves to turn the music on and let the boys practice their dance moves. They are too funny, and I am sure these videos will come in handy when they are in high school :). They can get some ideas for those high school dances! This is a video clip of a few of their moves. Jake is more of a serious dancer, while Ty is just plain hysterical! He sure loves to make us laugh.

Our New Bouncy

My friends and I were at one of our many kids' birthday parties and were talking about how many birthdays we have to rent bounce houses for, and how much we end up spending. Someone came up with the brilliant idea to buy one together and share it for all our parties. Between all the kids that is a lot of parties. Now for the price of one rental we part own one. We broke it out last weekend to see how it would work. I love it! The kids love the slide and it seems pretty easy to set up and take down. Besides kids parties we always have something going on, whether it is just a night for all of us to hang out, or some kind of holiday or celebration. Great source of entertainment for the kids. So glad we did it. It is not as big as the professional ones, but it will hold all the kids.

37 weeks and Ready to Go

37 weeks and 30 pounds later!! Ugghhh, it seems my weight has been so up and down since having kids. I finally start to get in shape and I'm pregnant again.

It is hard to believe I only have a short time until baby arrives. Even with carrying this baby around it doesn't seem real, until she arrives. This has been my hardest pregnancy, or at least the one I have whined and complained about the most. I am sure the boys have the most to do with that. I was sick with their colds and flues a lot (how Matt never gets them I don't know), and of course I had to take care of them, so I was tired most of the time. All the same symptoms, just a little more severe. Matt has been helping out so much! I am very lucky.

I think we are ready. Rooms are done, bags are packed. Now we just get to wait and see how she wants to do this. My deliveries and babies have been so different. Jake, my water broke and then labored for 14 hours to deliver a little 6lb 7oz baby. Ty came in 2 hours, delivering at the hospital 20 minutes after arrival, and he was a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz. They were both 9 days late. We'll just have to wait and see!

Swimming w/ Daddy

Matt has been giving me a break and taking the boys to the pool almost everyday. It has only been a couple weeks, so I decided to go and take my camera. It is amazing how quickly they have grown. Last time they were in their floaties refusing to take them off, and now they are practically swimming on their own! I do get a little anxiety when I watch. It can be hard to watch both of them at the same time. They have a lot of confidence and it makes me nervous. I am so proud of them.
