The boys went to their first Vacation Bible School. It was at Grace church in Vista. They had a GREAT time. I couldn't believe all the stuff they did, and all the stuff they came home with. Jake loved the music and mini-concerts each day. They were at the same table, so Jake watched out for his little brother. I can't wait for next year.
Thanks for visiting our site! I will continue to post pictures and updates here for everyone to see, and as a keepsake for Jake, Ty, Kylie and Carter. It is hard to believe how quickly they grow. I am so afraid I will forget a memory or important milestone as time goes on. Hopefully this blog will help, and give us a chance to share with family and friends. Please feel free to post a comment, you do not have to have an account.

things that come out of their mouths cont'd
Ty - Mama, "that is it, no more poopies (never thought I would say or write that word before kids) today, all three of you have pooped and we are done", Ty looks at me with deep concern and says "peepees to mama?"
Jake - I was in the car with my two cousins that were visiting from Colorado, along with all three kids. We had talked about visiting the beach, and when I asked my cousin if he still wanted to go, he said "No, I'm good", then I hear a small voice in the way back say, "I'm not good." Apparently he wanted to go to the beach.
Kylie - Today I was calling for Matt from downstairs. Then I hear Kylie look up the stairs and call out some sound. She was calling him too. So funny!
Jake - "mama, how many calories is this donut?"

Bathing Beauty
Our sweet girl is having her first pool experiences. It has taken about three trips for her to get use to it. The last time she had a little whine that lasted the whole time. uhhhhh, uhhhhhh, uhhhhh. She would splash a little but still whined. She is so girly, I love it. I think she preferred eating her cheerios on the sidelines watching her brothers.

Happy Easter!

We had a very busy Easter this year, starting with getting all the kids in their new Easter outfits. Jake likes to be comfortable and it took almost an hour of convincing to get it on him. Everything was itchy and too long or too short or too tight. He wore it for the picture and then we took it off. Ty on the other hand loved it and insisted on wearing hid tie for the next three days. Kylie could care less what she is wearing. We went to church, then to my dad's, my mom's, and then Matt's moms.

Date Night with the Werts

Todd and Shereen joined us on our Thursday date night. We had so much fun. We went to dinner in Balboa Park and had a few too many glasses of wine. We ordered a fun dinner that came with wine pairings at each course. It only makes Shereen and I talk more and maybe a little louder. Then we went to La Jolla and walked out on the jetty to see the seals. Heeding all warnings from by-standers we were determined to go to the end and hoping our strong men would protect us from any crashing waves. We made it safely and even managed to take these pics. It brought back memories of when Matt and I had our engagement pictures taken and were overtaken by a wave while our backs were to it. All we saw was our photographer running to save his camera!
