Kylie, "Daddy you're my King."

Ty, "I asked Brooke to be my girlfriend. She said yes if I do things for her."

Kylie, "Moooom, Jake called me a baby!". but she is :(

Kylie to mom, "I love you all time. You're my friend."

Kylie, "whew...that was close" under her breath after daddy tried unsuccessfully to take something away.

Jake, "I want to be a cop, so I can eat donuts and pizza for free."

Birthday Surprise

Lucky me.  Matt led me on a scavenger hunt for a special lunch, spa treatment, a new jersey, and my first Chargers game.

  

Ty's First Day of 1st Grade

Ty started a few dates late because of his hospital visit, which broke my heart.  We had skyped his first day with him in the hospital.  He loves his teacher Mr. Fitchett and having his best friend Kael in his class.

          

Jake’s 1st day of 2nd Grade

 

                

The big man on campus…well at least not first grade anymore.  Bummed his brother couldn’t be there but excited to start!

Jake Soccer!

Jake had a great year.  He improved so much from the year before.  He is such a good runner he never got tired.  He was all over the field, but maybe that was a problem ;)

     

Ty's Appendix Removed

          

Ty

We were shocked to end up in the hospital the very next day after Ty's birthday.  He woke up throwing up and complaining about a pain in his side.  By the time the surgery took place only hours later it had already burst.  This means a week in the hospital and extreme amounts of pain.  He would get the worst cramps and cry in agony.  I have never been so exhausted emotionally and physically.  It is like nothing else seeing your child in pain.  He did love the video games though, the visiteand playing board games.  Matt and I took turns each night.  You can see by the pictures how happy he was when he could go home and finally eat a real meal...McDonalds....and one tired mama ready to check out!!

Ty’s 6th Birthday

Ty’s Mad Science birthday party was a hit.  He had a great time with all his buddies doing crazy science experiments.

        

Jake’s Baptism

We were over the moon when Jake asked to be baptized.  We made him wait a few months, but he was still determined and understood the choice he was making.  We couldn’t be prouder.  This is a moment we prayed for and most want for our children.  What a perfect setting to take place at the beach.  The water was so warm and everything was perfect.  All the grandparents came and even our neighbor Aidan.
