Thanks for visiting our site! I will continue to post pictures and updates here for everyone to see, and as a keepsake for Jake, Ty, Kylie and Carter. It is hard to believe how quickly they grow. I am so afraid I will forget a memory or important milestone as time goes on. Hopefully this blog will help, and give us a chance to share with family and friends. Please feel free to post a comment, you do not have to have an account.

Marine Tribute
Jake's school had a tribute to the Marine's flag salute. It was very sweet and I could see many mom's tearing up. We collected canned food and money for turkeys. I am so thankful for all our military and the sacrifice they provide! The kids also got a surprise visit from Santa.

Santa!
Kylie is at that stage where she is not so fond of being handed off to strangers, not to mention ones in crazy red suits with lots of hair! We were just lucky she sat in his lap long enough for the pic. One back arch and she would be on the floor. The boys had fun, I think. I didn't get much of a chance to see their interaction. Jake said he asked for a double light saber and Ty asked for a fire truck. Ahhhh, can't wait to see what next year holds!

Kylie's 1st Thanksgiving, Eating
Ok, so it is not her official first Thanksgiving, but she did get to enjoy the food this year. Our Kylie is quite the eater. She will try anything and will usually like it. She picks up anything off my plate and tries it, I don't remember the boys ever doing that! The Turners made a great meal, and the company was just as good. We had another Thanksgiving at my moms, and the boys loved playing with their cousins.
Kylie's fellow blue-eyed, blonde relative, Uncle Dave
Uncle Steve, our last goodbye before his deployment to South Korea.
Uncle Mike, our closest shot to getting us some nieces and nephews.

Jake Accepted Jesus
Although it was a few weeks ago, I needed to write before I forget. This picture was from that day. Jake was at church when he made the the decision. After listening to his leader tell her testimony, Jake and one other child from his table prayed to accept Jesus into their lives. I had been talking to Jake about it for awhile, but he was never ready. When the teacher told me I started to cry, had to leave and have Matt get the details. I know it is only the beginning to a life that he will have to continue to make the choice to follow Him, but nonetheless it is a huge step in the most important wish I have for my children. Jake does not like me to ask him about it, so probably best not to mention it. He gets embarassed...kids!! He has a day to mark it, Oct 25.
