And Sports Begin!

Jake started soccer this year. It was nice to get him into something more organized then playing with Ty at home (which usually consists of Jake saying, not like that Ty, and Ty walking away). He seems to like it and I guess this begins our life of driving to practices and games.

Jake's Performance

We were surprised at our MOPS meeting at church, when they brought the kids in from their classes to sing to us moms. A lot of us were in tears. Something about a bunch of moms together watching their babies perform. Jake must be quite the ladies man, with all those girls around him!

I am saving this one for the future girlfriends. Jake loves to help mommy in the kitchen, so much he couldn't even wait to get his clothes on after bath time.

Love Bugs

If there not fighting, then there loving...at least it seems. Jake is quite affectionate, often too affectionate for his brother. "Mom, I was just trying to hug and kiss him," is what I hear often. I am sure some of those times the hug and kiss came with a shove to the stomach. Ahhhh... life with boys!

Where has the time gone?

Ok, so over the last few months I have not been able to update at all. I had been working full time for the office and everything seemed to fall apart, including this blog. So, now I am back home and getting things back together. So, get ready as I attempt to catch up for the last few months.

Jake's Bowling Bash

Jake went bowling for his 4th birthday. The kids loved wearing the bowling shoes and did surprisingly well bowling. It took about five minutes for each ball to make it down, but they had fun. They also loved not having their little brothers and sisters in their way.

New York

We were so surprised when Matt's mom and stepdad asked us at the end of October if we wanted to go to New York for Thanksgiving. Of course we said YES! Unfortunately they had planned to go with Matt's brother, but he had to back out. I cannot believe all that we saw in 4 days with 2 little ones in toe. Here is just a glimpse of some of what we saw. We also got to see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall...the kids loved it!

Halloween Party

We had a last minute Halloween party for the kids. 7 kids wound up on sugar gets pretty crazy. They all had their costumes and clothes off by the end of the night. It seemed like all of the sudden there were a bunch of naked kids running around. Imagine if all 12 kids showed up. Everyone had fun, and it was great to get a shot of all the kids, no matter how much bribing we had to do. I was standing behind the camera with a large bowl of candy...that may have been the picture to have! Jake and Ty were our little superheros...Superman and Spiderman.

Fire!

We were called to evacuate voluntarily during the big San Diego fires, there were a couple fires heading our way nearby. Here are some pictures we took before we evacuated.

Pumpkin Patch

The kids love going to the pumpkin patch, even though Jake decided to not show it. A cranky moment I'm sure. We had a great time and got to go with our friends Todd and Shereen.

Palm Desert Trip #3 - Girls Only

Another great trip with the girls...maybe a little too good. No pregnant mamas this time, and everyone made it. We went out at night and hung out by the pool during the day. These trips save me every year. A great break from the kids (and the hubbies). I love hanging out with them, we laugh so much!!

Kim's 30th

Matt's mom surprised me with a party for my 30th. It was so nice to hang out with all my family and friends at the same time. I am so blessed!!! My blog is a little out of order...this was in September, but I just got the pictures.

Ty 2nd Bday

I can't believe how quick he is growing. He is the sweetest and happiest little thing. We celebrated his birthday at Nana Di's.

Swim Lessons

Surfing with the Uncles

I just got these pics. The boys are so lucky to have such great uncles. Mommy and daddy got a break, while Jake spent the day surfing with his uncles. Since Matt and all his brothers surf I am sure Jake and Ty will be out there tearing it up before we know it.

10th Anniversary

Here is our attempt at taking a picture of ourselves on our trip to Cabo San Lucas. We had such a great time. We forget how hectic it gets with the kids. It was nice to just relax. We pretty much slept and ate, with a few ventures into town, and a ride on a waverunner. We had a beautiful suite, and this pic was taken from our balcony. It is hard to believe it has already been 10 years. Can't wait to see what adventures the next 10 will bring!

Swim Lessons

Jake and Ty took swim lessons this summer at the YMCA. Jake took the class by himself, while Ty got to spend time with daddy. I guess I forgot to mention it to Jake, and he spent most of his first class sulking because he wasn't with daddy too. He got over it by next class and they both had a blast. I can't wait until they can really swim by themselves.

Beach Boys

I was lucky enough to have a GREAT nanny, while I was working full time. She took the kids out everyday, so I sent her with a camera so I could see the fun times they were having. One of their favorite places to go with her was the beach. This is from one of their visits.

Jake "My Little Photographer"

Jake has really become interested in cameras. He has even figured out how to take pics on my phone, even when I have no clue. He is growing up so fast, and his vocabulary is amazing and quite hilarious. Yesterday we were playing with Ty and he said, "What is all the commotion about?" Commotion..you have got to be kidding me. He keeps us laughing. Anyways here are some of his pics.

My Girlfriends

I love my girlfriends. We have the best time, and they always keep me laughing. We are lucky to get the "not as often as we would like" chance to have a Moms Night Out. This is at a fondue place. It was fun to have an interactive dinner...that we didn't have to scarf down!

A Break for Mommy & Daddy

Matt and I went away for the weekend to Dana Point. We stayed in a beautiful place and really enjoyed the time relaxing, doing what we wanted when we wanted, and sleeping as long as our body would let us (not as long as it used to :( ) It was great!

Polar Express

In January we drove to Arizona and visited with my sister before going to the Polar Express! The boys had such a great time. Although Matt and I with our adult goggles thought it was ok, the boys believed every minute of it. We got on the train went for a short ride, was served hot chocolate and cookies, saw Santa, sang songs, and then came back. Jake truly BELIEVES!
