Portraits

They are getting so big I can hardly stand it! I got these pics taken for a father's day present I am working on. Let's hope Matt doesn't check the blog...he usually doesn't. They are starting to interact so much. The best is when they get each other giggling to the point they can't stop. Jake is very rough, so Ty will have some tough skin.

Ty's first trip to the beach!

The weather has been so nice here! We decided to take the boys to the beach. So, we loaded up the wagon and headed out. Ty loved everything about it! He loved playing in the sand, which scares me to death (sand in the eye, mouth!). He even loved the water...he couldn't stop giggling. I'm not really sure what that kid doesn't like. He is so sweet and so happy all the time. Jake couldn't stop talking about it, and still does daily. You may find us at the beach every weekend for the rest of the summer!

Palm Desert with Papa Ted and Nana Di

What a treat!! Nana Di took the boys and their cousins to the desert for the weekend. Not only did they have a blast (Nana spoils them to death), we had a great time. We went to 2 movies, had nice, quiet dinners, and did a lot of relaxing.

Carlsbad Public Works Fair

Every year the City of Carlsbad has a Public Works Fair where they bring out all their equipment and let the kids play. They also give away all kinds of prizes. Jake has so much fun. He is very much at the bulldozer/tractor/firetruck/lawnmower stage!

Washington DC Vacation

We headed out to the Washington DC area for 10 days in May. My brother got married in West Virginia (Wedding Pics to Follow), and we thought we would make a vacation out of it. We had so much fun and saw so much. We saw the monuments, memorials, some of the Smithsonians, the zoo, Baltimore, Annapolis, Gettysburg. By the time we were done we had been to 4 states. The kids were troopers and only took a couple days to get adjusted to the new routine (no routine that is).

First Visit to the Ice Cream Truck

We just got our first ice cream truck in the neighborhood. Matt and I remembered our visits when we were little and thought we would show Jake the ropes. He picked up very quickly. Now we're in trouble. Do you know how to get the ice cream truck to turn down his music?

Weekly Walks

Since Jake was very young we have had scheduled walks with our playgroup. We usually walk around our neighborhood, but this day we ventured out to a local trail. The older Jake gets the more impatient he seems to get with the stroller. He wants to get out and walk. Pretty soon he will be able to walk faster and longer than me!
